Definition
An extraordinary, ex-parte search-and-seizure order issued by a civil or commercial court permitting the plaintiff's advocate commissioners to enter the defendant’s premises without prior notice to inspect, copy, and seize counterfeit goods, books, or software before they are destroyed.
Example
In Bucyrus Europe Ltd. v. Vulcan Industries, the Calcutta High Court issued an Anton Piller Order authorizing a court commissioner to enter a manufacturing unit in Howrah to inspect and seize counterfeit industrial excavator components.
