Definition
A process conducted during investigation (usually before an Executive or Judicial Magistrate) where a victim or eyewitness identifies a suspect from a lineup of similar persons to corroborate investigative leads.
Example
A chain-snatching victim identifies the accused among eight non-suspects of similar height and complexion during a TIP conducted inside the Yerwada Central Jail in Pune.
