Golden Triangle (Articles 14, 19, and 21)
Constitutional & Public Law Doctrines
Definition
The interconnected constitutional jurisprudence established in Maneka Gandhi v. Union of India, holding that Articles 14 (Equality), 19 (Freedoms), and 21 (Life and Liberty) are not isolated silos, but mutually reinforce each other; any state restriction on liberty must satisfy all three provisions simultaneously.
Example
An executive order imposing a curfew cannot merely cite a statutory section; it must show that the restriction is non-arbitrary (Article 14), a reasonable restriction under Article 19(2), and enacted through a just, fair, and reasonable procedure (Article 21).
